Congrats on starting your first wikiHow article!

Like all new articles, it will now go through a quality review process to ensure it follows our community guidelines. If your article meets those guidelines, you'll get a note letting you know that it's been promoted.

In the meantime you can continue editing to improve your article, or try visiting our Community Dashboard for other ways to help. You might get a kick out of flipping through the Topic Greenhouse to find articles in your area of expertise so you can add your knowledge there, too!

If you have any questions as you go, just reach out to our Help Team for a hand, and someone will get back to you soon :)

Hey Emily,

I saw you were on a roll with some really helpful pet-related edits - cheers for diving right in there! What pets do you have at home? Sounds like you know a lot about animal safety!

At 20:20, Jun 30, 2019

DaniFreesaid:

Hello and welcome to wikiHow, EmilyMadeliene! We're happy to have you here and appreciate your help. Thanks for all the helpful tweaks you've made to articles so far, as well as the article you started. I take it you're an animal lover? :)

A good way to find animal articles (or other categories of articles) in need of help is to use the Edit by Topic tool. In this tool, you can enter any topic you'd like to write about/contribute to, and articles from that topic will be brought up automatically for you to edit.

Links to Edit by Topic and similar tools can be found on the Community Dashboard. You can try out the various applications and see which ones you like. All of them are a great help. :)

If you'd ever like some help or advice, you can message me on my , and I'll happily lend a hand.

Happy editing!

Oh wow, that does sound like a handful! Do they get along?

We have two cats at home - one lazy, and one really lazy, hah. Until the middle of the night, when the energy strikes, oi. But I can't imagine doing double or triple the work to keep up with their needs!

Hope you get to try out that Topic Greenhouse Danielle mentioned - it'd be great to have your insights on some of those canine and feline topics. Bet you have a lot to add :)

At 20:38, Jun 30, 2019

Annasaid:

Hahah, I picture the tired ol' cat and rambunctious pup... Makes sense they might not get along!

Thanks for starting an article on wikiHow! I just wanted to let you know that it's been categorized as a stub, meaning that it's a good outline (and we're glad you started it!), but still has some room to grow. We want to be sure that the article has enough step-by-step details in it so that a person reading it can accomplish this task from start to finish.

Do you have any more information you can add? You can also , as long as you put them in your own words and . Either way, it's off to a good start. It'll be great to see how it develops! If there is anything I can do to help you expand the article or get around on wikiHow, please let me know!

Thanks for getting back to me Emily =) No problem, I understand. Looking back at my old articles, I was defiantly not the best either so I totally get it. ^_^

Unfortunately I know nothing about your topic =( But your article will be in the STUB greenhouse so if anybody happens to find it (and knows about the topic) they'll edit it for you. Until then, your article will be hidden from search results and will not be published just yet.

Thanks for understanding and nice to meet you. =)

Oops! It looks like you accidentally added a less helpful tip while working on Tips Patrol just now. That's okay though; you're still learning, and it can be tricky at first!

If you haven't already, read our article on  and give it another try! If you have any questions about adding tips, don't hesitate to reach out to the Help Team. And remember, if you're not sure what to do, just press the "skip" button and you'll do fine :)

I undid a batch of your recent patrols, to play it safe and have those edits reviewed again. I just want to make sure no bad edits were accepted while you're still learning your way around RC patrol.

If you haven't already, read our article on and give it another try! I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about patrolling. And remember, if you're not sure what to do, just press the "skip" button and you'll do fine :)

Hey again,

Thanks for your help with patrolling! It looks like you're still getting the hang of it, so your access to RC Patrol has been temporarily blocked by Patrol Coach. If you would like to talk about getting back into patrolling, please let me know! I'd be happy to offer some coaching so we can work towards restoring access. This hold need only be temporary :)

In the meantime, though, you can always help out using other tools on the site, like the Topic Greenhouse and Spellchecker. Try those out and let me know what you think!

Thanks for your edits on Mush With Huskies. Spotted your great cleanup here and just wanted to send another kudos for it.

Don't be discouraged by the patrolling limit - it need only be temporary, and we all know there's a lot to learn at first, so no big deal; we've all been there! If you're keen to get back into patrolling, let me know - and in the meantime, there are lots of other articles that could use your help!

At 23:09, Jul 13, 2019

Annasaid:

Ah gotya okay - so the same general skills and techniques from USAG would apply regardless? We have a few different guides on gymnastic levels, - might be worth a look in case anything catches your eye that you want to edit on!

At 00:40, Jul 14, 2019

Annasaid:

If you're game to patrol more, the best first approach is to check out How to Patrol Recent Changes - reading that over all the way through, and watching the video at the bottom, is really helpful. Then it's a good idea to read over our Writer's Guide, formatting guidelines, and External Links Policy, too, since a lot of those guidelines become important in patrolling as well :)

After you check all those out and feel confident about the patrolling best practices, would you mind shooting me an email at ? Then I can send you a few practice examples to get you off on the right foot before we restore the tool for you.

Let me know if you have any questions! I'd be happy to help!

Hi EmilyMadeliene. Thank you for starting a new article on wikiHow!

I noticed that a title you started (How to Get over a Loss) is very similar to a title we already have: How to Cope With Pain and Loss. It looks like they might be duplicates! On wikiHow, we consider two articles to be duplicates when their titles are practically interchangeable (even if the content is different). When we find a duplicate, we then work to make sure all the information ends up consolidated on one page, typically the one with the simpler, more commonly searched title. That way, our readers can find everything about that particular topic in one place.

If you agree that the title you started is a duplicate, you can help by adding your how-to advice to the other page. The duplicate page will likely get removed in about a week, and we don't want to lose all the great information you provided. If you don't think your article is actually a duplicate, feel free to leave a note on the discussion page (which you can find ) explaining why, and let me know, too. Sometimes we make mistakes, and we definitely don't want to delete it if it is different!

If you have any questions or need help with anything, just reply to this message. Thanks again for contributing!
